That was a little disappointing after having stayed at Allegro Playacar (another Occidental property) the time before. They want you to buy a "vacation club pkg" and tell you that it's "ownership"----basically it's a timeshare kind of thing. Ask a question about Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All-Inclusive or help someone else answer theirs.Oh, well--the vacation was overall good and the price with Cheap Caribbean was very good. dress casual ....other than that shorts, tanks, whatever you are comfortable in.have a dress ladies for dining in a few of the restaurants also closed toe shoes...Assuming this was due to the time of year we went, and I don't know that other resorts have heated pools either, so not a complaint but more of a "heads-up".Overall, awesome experience, would definitely go back!-Pools are not heated and there are no hot tubs, just bubbly pools of cold water. -Ride from airport will cost about one-way and will take around an hour without any stops. This is very important if you plan on bringing kids. -People smoke everywhere- hallways, pools, lounges. This location has a man-made beach, actually it's a lagoon. We actually preferred the buffets to the sit-down restaurants, but there was plenty of options (11 restaurants on site). The bars were strewn throughout the resort, near all the pools, and the poolside service was exceptional.

Overall, i would not go back to the Occidental at Xcaret. For the day, and at buffets, just about anything goes, lol!Women can get by with a sundress or shirt with nice shorts. And, a major bonus here - Xcaret Park is located next door. Rented two rooms for 6 of us and took my two kids (age 3 yrs.and a 4 month old) alo..." "I must say my family really enjoyed ourselves at Occidental Grand Xcaret for 1 full week and were very sad to leave.

This time can vary, based upon the travel season, and occupancy at the resort.
